Handy House Doc has an immediate need for trusting and knowledgeable handymen, painters, and basic construction workers to help seniors in the St. Louis area remain safely in their homes.

Job Summary

To provide trusting and knowledgeable home service to seniors in our community. Serving as a liaison between the Executive Director and our clients, vendors, contractors, staff, and others also maintains efficient and effective external/internal operations ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, systems, and processes.

Position Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide trusting and knowledgeable home service to include:
    • Treat every client with the highest respect.
    • Arrive to the client’s home on time.
    • Maintain proper communications by calling the client in advance of arrival; provide upfront company ID and discussing work order.
    • Professionally and proficiently perform work order service.
    • Perform a full hour of service: “Is there anything more I can do for you? I have the time.”
    • Perform all work order, quote, job completion certificate, invoicing, and collection of payment, and downloading before and after pictures of service.
    • Wear and maintain all company approved clothing.
    • Supply clean and reliable transportation. Daily auto mileage will be calculated from job to job minus one round trip to our corporate office from your residence per Google maps.
    • Supply all hand tools needed to perform work orders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have 5 years of carpentry, and/or home electrical/plumbing system and general repair experience.
  • Familiar with HVAC systems.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Comfortable with software usage.
