**Position Overview: **

We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team in our independent living community. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, flavor, and nutritional value.

– Supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring smooth operations during all meal services.

– Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety in the kitchen.

– Monitor food costs and assist in inventory management to ensure budgetary targets are met.

– Collaborate with the dietary team to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of residents.

– Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain a high level of culinary excellence.


– Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cook in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a senior living or hospitality setting.

– Culinary degree or certification from an accredited culinary institution is preferred.

– Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

– Excellent leadership and communication skills.

– Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

– Flexibility to work weekends, and holidays as needed.
